Course Duration

This program is delivered as a 2 day face to face course​. Learners with low LLN may complete additional training days prior to assessment. Additional fees apply for additional training and should be discussed with Ironbark Training to determine the most cost effective option.

Unit Descriptor

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct dozer operations.
This unit applies to those working in site based roles.
There are currently no licensing requirements attached to this unit in NSW.
This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent.

This unit requires a person operating a dozer to:

  • Plan and prepare dozer for operation
  • Operate dozer in line with established requirements to complete work plan
  • Select, remove, fit and use attachments for a dozer
  • Relocate the dozer
  • Conduct housekeeping activities

Pre-requisites and Licensing / Regulatory Information

There are no pre-requisites for this unit of competency.

There are currently no licensing requirements attached to this unit in NSW.

However, students must be able to complete all training and assessment materials in accordance with the instructions and assessment requirements for that instrument. In particular, learners must have sufficient English language to complete the assessment without the use of an interpreter, assistant or any reference materials. Unless specified in learning materials.
