This program is delivered as a 1 day face to face course or 1 day course. Learners with low LLN may complete additional training days prior to assessment. Additional fees apply for additional training and should be discussed with Ironbark Training to determine the most cost effective option.
Unit Descriptor
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to store and handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances. It includes identifying requirements for working with dangerous goods and/or hazardous substances, confirming site incident procedures and selecting handling techniques in accordance with relevant work health safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations concerning the safe handling of dangerous goods and hazardous substances, within the transport and logistics industry. Work is performed under general supervision. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication |
Pre-requisites and Licensing / Regulatory Information
There are no pre-requisites for this unit of competency.
There are currently no licensing requirements attached to this unit in NSW.
However, students must be able to complete all training and assessment materials in accordance with the instructions and assessment requirements for that instrument. In particular, learners must have sufficient English language to complete the assessment without the use of an interpreter, assistant or any reference materials.
